About

Building Enduring American Brands

357 Brands, Inc. is a North Carolina-based platform for building enduring brands, products, and creative ventures that connect apparel, manufacturing, material innovation, and culture. Our model brings together regional infrastructure, domestic production, and global industry relationships to build businesses designed for relevance, resilience, and long-term growth.

Our Story

Where It Began

357 Brands grew from more than 25 years of founder and CEO Miko Underwood’s experience across denim, design, sustainability, and cultural storytelling, alongside partner and COO Ian Sims. Together, they developed the creative, production, media, and business infrastructure around OAK & ACORN ~ Only for the Rebelles, 357 Brands’ first consumer brand.

In 2022, Oak & Acorn reshored its production to the United States. That decision became part of a larger commitment to support American makers, preserve industry knowledge, and build more responsible production systems. The experience revealed a mission larger than one company: to create a platform where consumer brands, material innovation, manufacturing, media, and talent development could reinforce one another. That evolution became 357 Brands, Inc.

Today, 357 Brands is based in North Carolina, building from one of America's most historic textile regions through Oak & Acorn, its premium denim brand; BLDG357, its media and creative production company; and FDM Lab, its platform for developing the next generation of denim makers.
